As a business analyst, you will be involved in the first steps of an application development project; requirements gathering, analysis & capturing.

You will first focus on comprehending the involved business processes.  Possibly you will document this process by choosing the appropriate modeling technique (BPMN, UML Activity diagrams, Value stream maps, ...).  Next you will consider with the customer how work is organized in the business process in an effective manner.  With this input you will finally elaborate and document the requirements for the software.

Once you have documented the core of the new system, you will be working with the architect of the team, to allow the architect to prepare the actual start of the development.

Once development has started, you will play a key role facilitating the development.  You will be responsible for driving the development of the software by preparing units of work for the development team and by clarifying any queries concerning the functional, work and business context of the work units.

Possibly you will be working both on- and off-site with our customers in combination with remote working possibilities (this possibility depends on the applicable project context). 

To qualify for this position, strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a strong and team-oriented environment are required. 
 

• Business analysis: understand the customer's business requirements and then reinvent and document the stream of processes accordingly. (Elaboration of the business process model)
• Requirements analysis: identify and understand the customer's work within the business process and optimize the interaction between the user and the system under construction with the intention of providing an excellent software tool for the work that needs to be performed by our customers.  (Elaboration of the use case model)
• Project management: define units of work necessary to achieve the documented software, follow up of progress while optimizing the use of resources.  (Elaboration of the story model)

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis and capturing
• Good common sense, conceptual thinking, general problem solving
• Good soft skills, communicative and dynamic personality
• Knowledge in software development methods and practices (Agile modeling, XP, Unified Process, Scrum, Kanban, ...)
• Knowledge in modeling techniques (UML, BPMN, Context diagrams, ...)
• Quality-driven!
• Knowledge of Dutch/English/French

• Experience with modeling tools (Agilian, TogetherSoft, ...)
